Pulp Finishing vs Juice Clarification

Understand the difference between controlling pulp texture with screens and reducing suspended material in an extracted juice stream.

Define what should remain in the product

Screen finishing controls coarse material, fibres and the accepted pulp fraction. Clarification targets a liquid with reduced suspended material. Removing cloud from juice is a separate product choice from refining puree texture.

Match the separation method to the feed

A centrifugal separator responds to particle and density characteristics. A membrane duty needs its own suitability and fouling review. Neither is selected solely because an upstream pulp screen has a certain opening.

Use one quality target

Compare clarity, texture and accepted output under the same feed conditions. Finishing and fine clarification should not be ranked by unrelated raw-fruit and liquid-feed capacities.

What to include in your enquiry

  • Cloudy juice, clear juice or puree
  • Feed solids and temperature
  • Accepted texture or clarity
  • Product loss and cleaning requirements

Describe the product and the machine you need. Add the known process conditions; the remaining configuration can be discussed around your actual project.
