Equipment catalogue / Equipment duties
Prepare a specified mash for a recovery machine that can use that particle structure.
The cutting or crushing assembly changes fruit structure so the next operation can recover the wanted fraction. Finer is not always better: excessive breakdown can change drainage, unwanted extraction and screen loading.
Identify allowed fruit form, foreign-matter controls and any required peel or stone removal.
Request the actual cutter/rotor arrangement, adjustment method, passage limits and guarding.
Sample the mash and downstream product from the same fruit lot rather than judging a crusher only by an unloaded speed.
A crusher is not a destoner, juice press or finished-puree specification by itself.
Check controlled feeding, mash discharge, peak rate, transfer residence and the receiving press or pulper restrictions.
Provide safe rotor isolation, removable cutting parts and documented wear inspection; confirm contact materials and clean-out access.
Compare offered crushers using matched fruit, mash criteria and downstream results. Cross-task presses only explain the next role.
