Disc-Stack vs Membrane Juice Clarification

Compare centrifugal and membrane separation from the juice specification, suspended material, accepted clarity and cleaning duty.

Different separation mechanisms

A disc-stack separator uses centrifugal separation inside a rotating bowl. Membrane clarification operates through a selected filtration boundary. The method is chosen around the actual juice and its suspended material.

Characterize the feed

Measure the relevant solids, particles, temperature and required clarity. Feed preparation and discharge arrangements determine continuity; nominal feed rate alone does not demonstrate the separation result.

Consider retained product components

Cloud and fine solids may be wanted in one juice and unwanted in another. Compare accepted product, loss, cleaning and operating continuity under the same quality requirement.

What to include in your enquiry

  • Juice clarity target
  • Feed solids and particle characteristics
  • Product yield criteria
  • Cleaning and solids-discharge arrangement

Describe the product and the machine you need. Add the known process conditions; the remaining configuration can be discussed around your actual project.
