Apple, pear and quince processing equipment

Pome fruit gives a useful starting point for a firm-fruit route: visible washing and inspection, controlled size reduction, then a recovery step chosen around clear or cloudy juice, puree or concentrate.

What the fruit changes

Use the five stages below to turn the fruit description into a machine brief. The equipment list is a shortlist of duties to investigate, not a claim of model compatibility.

Typical examples
Apple · Pear · Quince

01

Prepare

Review washing and inspection before crushing. Firm fruit can suit a brush-and-spray arrangement, but variety, ripeness and damage sensitivity still decide the handling. Remove stems, leaves, foreign material and any hard fruit parts that should not enter the crusher.

02

Recover

A press recovers juice from prepared mash; a pulper recovers an edible pulp fraction. The wanted product and texture determine which route to review, not the fruit name alone.

03

Finish

A cloudy juice may retain fine solids. A clarified juice needs a separate separation decision. Puree texture is set by the pulping and finishing arrangement, including the reject stream.

04

Treat

Thermal treatment and concentration are selected around the actual juice or pulp, its particles, viscosity and the downstream package. A temperature setpoint alone does not establish a validated process.

05

Fill or transfer

Bulk bag filling, tank transfer and cleaning are connected to the upstream treatment boundary. The package, fitment and product condition at filling must be specified together.

Fruit questions

Before you shortlist equipment

Which fruit does this page cover?

Apple · Pear · Quince. The family is a starting point: variety, maturity and the condition entering the machine still need to be stated.

Which equipment should I review first?

Review washing and inspection before crushing. Firm fruit can suit a brush-and-spray arrangement, but variety, ripeness and damage sensitivity still decide the handling. Remove stems, leaves, foreign material and any hard fruit parts that should not enter the crusher. A press recovers juice from prepared mash; a pulper recovers an edible pulp fraction. What information should I include in an enquiry?

Variety, maturity and the share of damaged or undersized fruit; Wanted product: clear juice, cloudy juice, puree, concentrate or a formulated base; Preparation already available upstream and the condition entering the crusher; Required rate with its material and unit basis, plus the operating schedule; Package or bulk transfer route and the required treatment boundary. The likely equipment duties can then be reviewed against the actual product and supply boundary.
