Brush Washer vs Water-Bath Fruit Washer

Compare contact washing and bath handling for fruit skin, soil, bruising sensitivity, rinse quality and transfer into the next preparation machine.

How the fruit is handled

Brush rollers turn the fruit beneath sprays and provide surface contact. A bath arrangement uses water contact and a controlled removal path. Firm produce and tender ripe fruit can require different contact and transfer arrangements.

Water is part of the equipment specification

Describe the soil load, screening, make-up supply and final rinse. A recycled-water loop is a configuration to review, not proof of water quality. Check how settled and floating debris are removed from a bath.

Evaluate the discharge

Fruit must leave at the spread and height required by the inspection conveyor or preparation hopper. Excessive drops, retained water and fruit piling can undermine an otherwise suitable washing duty.

What to include in your enquiry

  • Fruit size and ripeness
  • Soil and attached debris
  • Available water and drain connections
  • Agreed cleanliness and damage criteria

Describe the product and the machine you need. Add the known process conditions; the remaining configuration can be discussed around your actual project.
