Inside the process
How this equipment works
Fruit passes across the brush bed while the rollers turn its surface beneath the spray bars. The bristles loosen attached material and the water carries it towards the collection area. This contact action is useful for firm produce; tender fruit needs a gentler handling arrangement selected around its skin and ripeness.
Brush bed and spray access
The open upper bed makes the roller surface and rows of nozzles accessible for inspection. Brush stiffness, roller presentation and the inlet spread determine how strongly the fruit is worked. They are selected together, rather than increasing spray flow to compensate for poor presentation.
Water collection and separation
Water and loosened debris leave the product bed into the lower collection area. A recirculation system, where included, needs screening and an identified make-up and drain connection. The final rinse arrangement follows the site water-quality programme.
Transfer into preparation
Discharge the cleaned fruit onto an inspection conveyor or into the selected preparation machine. Match the drop height and discharge width so fruit does not pile up or bridge at the next hopper.
Configuration and operating basis
Washing structure
Brush rollers beneath spray bars
Product handling
Continuous bed with open inspection access
Water interfaces
Spray supply, collection and drain connections
Configuration choices
Brush contact, carrying width, transfer height and water circuit
The offered model and its installed options define final dimensions, services and rated duty.
Product and operating conditions
Brush contact must suit the actual fruit surface. Washing does not replace damaged-fruit rejection or establish a validated microbial reduction.
Connections and installation
Record fruit loading height, discharge spread, drainage, reject collection and access along the conveyor.
Cleaning and service access
Inspect nozzles, carrying surfaces, bearings outside the contact zone and removable debris traps. Define isolation and safe access before service.
Selection and comparison
Compare with immersion washing only under the same fruit, soil, cleanliness and damage criteria.
