How fruit equipment changes the material
Identify the physical task before comparing machine names.
Change size, separate a fraction, or change state
A crusher prepares a mash; a destoner separates hard stones; a press recovers expressed liquid; a pulper recovers a wanted pulp stream. These changes have different acceptance tests. Write the incoming and outgoing material beside each machine before discussing a combined package.
Keep the reject stream visible
Separation always needs a defined destination for the rejected fraction. Check what leaves with peel, stones, fibres, press residue or retentate. A recovered-output figure without the reject balance and product-quality result can hide unsuitable separation.
Measure where the duty happens
Use the actual feed to each machine, not one raw-fruit rate copied through every stage. Extracted-liquid flow, pulp mass and accepted package output are different measurements. The next equipment inlet may change with temperature, air and retained solids.
Connect the tasks
A machine can pass its isolated test and still mismatch the next stage. Specify discharge condition, pressure or gravity transfer, working hold, stop/start behaviour and cleaning boundary. Confirm responsibility for pumps, connecting pipes, controls and sampling.
